Teledyne SP Devices extends RF offering with ADQ7WB
 
Teledyne SP Devices today announced the release of ADQ7WB – a wideband digitizer with an analog input bandwidth of 6.5 GHz. This new product is a significant addition to the company’s solutions for the RF market segment and is launched in response to high customer demand. The performance and features of ADQ7WB make it ideal for demanding radio applications.

The high analog input bandwidth combined with high sampling rate allows for wideband capture of IF/IQ/RF signals, and the AC-coupled analog front-end is optimized for high linearity. ADQ7WB features on-board proprietary digital performance enhancement technology ADX which helps achieve industry-leading spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR).


 
 
ADQWB_PCIE
ADQ7WB is available in PCI Express (PCIe) and PXI Express (PXIe) form factors (PCIe shown above).
Optional firmware package FW2DDC adds real-time radio digital signal processing (DSP) functions that also helps reduce data rates to a manageable level. The package includes two digital downconverters (DDCs), decimation, and filtering which can be used either for noise reduction or channel equalization. Custom DSP functions can also be integrated on the onboard Xilinx FPGA through a firmware development kit. A software development kit (SDK) is also included free of charge.

In addition to the on-board real-time processing the ADQ7WB supports data streaming at very high rates. This allows for post-processing in either a host PC or via peer-to-peer streaming to a graphics processing unit (GPU).

ADQ7WB is available in modular PCI Express (PCIe) and PXI Express (PXIe) form factors and offers flexible and simple integration that can easily be scaled to include additional measurement channels. It also supports highly accurate trigger and synchronization capabilities that enable implementation of multi-channel systems.
